at last it's finally finished. i think i blogged about this in a past life or perhaps it just seems that long ago. Well, the wait is over and i'm all too happy to announce the release of Buried In Time's 4th release "Acid Offspring", which as the name suggests has something to do with acid techno. What is it? Well, here's the one sheet + track list:
"Acid Offspring", Buried In Time's 4th release, is a project that came out of several jam sessions on vintage Roland gear with label mates Ignatius and [SiK]. The hours of material were narrowed down to several tracks that will see the light of day sometime. However, there was a lot of material that was good yet not quite a complete idea. This material was chopped up into a 200MB sample pack that was shared with 11 producers who all used those samples to come up with a track. The result touches on many genres and moods with in electronic music.. from hip hop head nodders to 4/4 bangers and psychedelic electro to less accessible dense electronic mangling and processing. The final tracks yield a surprising cohesiveness and flow that avoids cliches and yet is not endless wankery for its sake. Artfully packaged in a standard digipack.
Currently the release is available direct for $10 shipping included to anywhere or via our addictech on line shop. It will show up in itunes, emusic etc in a few weeks or so.

jeebus christ. this thing is freaking amazing. i think mine's the weakest track on there, actually (but someone had to make rave track. i mean c'mon...). i've listened to this thing repeatedly nonstop since i got it yesterday. really, really amazing unique compilation. it touches on every facet of electronic music in such an abstract-yet-solid kind of way.
huge thanks to steve for putting this together and letting me be part of it.

ya, steve, i love this comp, thanks for getting me my copies, all the tracks are wicked, and i love all the diff styles, and the sound is spot on, good mastering, you should feel proud that you put this out, and thanks again for getting all of our gold bricking asses out there, it is appreciated!! hope you would think of me in future projects as well, good stuff!!

this is definitely my favorite comp so far...its very cohesive...and its aciiiid. keep a look out for a new project im gonna be workin on this spring.
another all analogue path, with less dsp on the backend.
