--> Sorry for the soggy spam fritters but I'm really excited about this gig for Blood Moon.
Actually it's official title is a "Happening".

A composer from London called Matthew Lee Knowles has organised a massive event, i believe as part of his PhD. He's rented an art gallery in Notting Hill for the day and asked 100+ artists and musicians to perform, create work and play music. For each artist he's written a score; or more a schedule for the three hour happening. Everyone uses a stopwatch to time the sections where they perform freely, make noise, freeze, make staccato sounds, etc. It's really exciting.

The event is called The Nothing and the Nothingness, and is focussed on that theme. We're planning to include some passages from the Upanishads in our performance and, as all our music is entirely imprvised, it sort of comes from nothing anyway.

If anyone's interested, there's more info here: link

It's on tuesday night (29th April) from 7pm-10pm. We're playing throughout. Once again, sorry for the spam but this is really exciting!

In other news we've also just been confirmed to play at Chorlton Arts Festival, headlining the friday night for Blank Media, would you believe. Plyaing in a church will be mint.

Also, on Monday, the NORAVE album is released, a netlabel compilation featuring one of our tunes alongside some mental noise from Tayside Mental Health, wierd electronic thrash from Gay Against You and some dubstep, ambient, breakcore and electronica stuff. Get it here: link from monday

Cheers!

Im up for going to this - is there any info other than on myArse as I cant access it from work.

sounds like more fun than my thesis. Although I did use the phrase "deletion of the DIX" a lot.

Sounds like a marathon mass Zorn piece.

Wish I could go.

here's the Face Book link, not sure if you can access that from work, or even if you'll be in work now as it's saturday...
