Just a gentle reminder not to buy Monster, even if you have money in the bank to buy overpriced cable. Just buy another brand of overpriced cable, FFS.

i remember readig somewhere that the "quality" of cabling really doesnt make that much of a difference. i think it was on CDM or something like that.

Although the colors are different, the shape looks remarkably similar, and if Monster holds a patent on this design is it possible they could win?

It does make a difference on how long the cables last, in my experience.

well, reading the comments on some of the sites it's been mentioned, the way monster put forward the lawsuit, they claim infringment on the basic shape of a audio connector.
so indeed, if they'd be able to set precedent, monster has permission to bully other companies, solely on the grounds of using the most commonly used connector in audio.

and yes, comparing cheap cable to mid-price cable, theres definitely a noticeable difference.
theres a bend in the curve from a certain pricepoint though.

Yeesh.
