both Music has the Right and Geogaddi sound very 00's to me,.

djugel said: ""Those basslines still inspire me" - really? That's the only part of them that always bothered me... just "gum-chewy" basslines... too easy for me... give me Steely Dan instead."

I dunno...it's just something about how they're integrated with the song. I can't really explain it.

Autechre - Anvil Vapre (to this day, their best record evah!)

easily !! no contest

b12 - Electrosoma
Kool Keith - Black Elvis/Lost in Space

Mike and Rich - Expert Knob Twiddlers

true. thats a great album.

this thread is inspiring cos you guys named some stuff that I haven't checked out yet that's probably amazing.
this thread is depressing cos now I realize the music I love the very most is basically confined to one decade.

also, I see the 90s as officially beginning with the fall of the Berlin wall and officially ending with the fall of the WTC. yes, it was a 12 year decade.
underground resistance- electronic warfare

must also mention drexciya!

Kinda uncouth, but the "This Is..." series of boxes out of the UK in the mid 90s got me back into electronic music after quite some time listening to opera and chamber.

This Is Trip Hop (v1 & 2), This Is Jungle, This Is Drum & Bass. I have pleasant memories of bouncing with some topless French girls to the DnB set :-)

actually Reagenz is not my ultimate fav electronic record of the 90s. it's very influential, but to be precise, it is the best ambient record i've ever owned. why? because it is unpretentious, detuned, not emotional, shuffly, trippy without being lame...

anybody remember/acquire "mercy street" by a reminiscent drive? killler record.
