Has anyone heard of meetup.com?
I have an account for a live electronic music meet up. I've met some wonderful people through it. But alas, I still want to keep meeting more people. I know people are around diggin up on some electronic mp3's and I bet they don't even know that there is local people in their city doing it on stage, their own original music.
HAhaaaha, so I posted about my meet up on craigslist. Then I figured, sure, I'm around here on this site every now and then, I guess I'll tell you all about it to. Of course it's based on meeting up with each other based on one or a few things that everyone is interested in, but I for real, if you're around NYC, CHeck it out, we are having a really fun time and just hopin to spread the word

Nice moves. I love Craig's List! You can get some pretty good leads off CL. I've met some pretty cool people through CL. Ton of weirdoes too.
Your event is dope, I've been trying to do something similar here in the Bay. (The Koko, and the Ivy Room are the beating heart of the San Francisco Electronic Music scene.)
Is CL popular in NY?

Yeah, I've found all my housing up here and my current job through craigslist. I too, unfortunately, have met some weirdos through craigslist. I think the meetup.com is a pretty cool thing. People just organize for what ever, it's kinda weird I have to pay for meet up, but I guess it's cheap and probably controls quality on the site.

I just signed up, there is an SF meetup happening tomorrow, but I am going to miss out because it's all full. lame.
