--> Hey peepz, timed to match Logo's midibox, here is the small ruin & wesen midi controller.

Features 5 encoders (with button), an additional button and a display. Software is customizable (by me, hahahaha), but in the standard mode it can send CCs and note ons note offs. It has 4 pages of 4 encoders.

But I use it to command my machinedrum effects over sysex, and also to sequence small pattern loops, and to record midi knob twists and play them back synced to midi tempo (not a very big resolution, but it's still coolioz). Also, I can go back to a stored kit, but only for a specific track (if you have machinedrum, that's like restoring the kit but for a single track only). So I can go berserk on everything and then have my bassdrum and hats right back on track.

If you want one, plz contact me. Also, I can accomodate your most secret MIDI wishes.

Nice, seems super useful.

Not that I can commission one right now, but I'd love to see more stuff like the Flame Clockwork link , but crazier with a step sequencer, and synced knob recording, etc. It would probably be pretty complicated.

So this transmits MIDI?

What's that plug coming out of the device in the pic then? Power supply?

its a bit big! i want something smaller ;-)

i can't remember what we agreed are you making one of these for me?
or was i just gonna play with it?

Yeah transmits and receives MIDI. The plug is the power supply. the thing is so crammed full there's definitely no place for a battery in there. It's about 12cm x 6cm. Quip, I can make you one if you want, but it's not really what you had in mind, no? My plan for your thing as approximately that thing + 4x4 pads (well that's something I want to build anyway).

cool. thats a really nice box tho - nice work lads.

Nice one on interfacing with the MD! Can this send NRPN? I would really love to make a hardware cc to NRPN converter/mapper. So, how much is it to commission one of these?

Hi senorfrio, do you just want to filter CCs to NRPN? Or have the knobs send NRPN. Both is no problem at all, I'm going to make a programmable midi filter (actually I already have the hardware and the code), but I need to work on a GUI java program for it.

looks cool! How do you do the reset for the kit? is it a kit stored on the midicommand, and sends the original values back to the MD, or is it a message sent to the machinedrum?

that's absolutely pretty !

your logo is nice and just nerdy. i love it !

original kit stored on the controller, actually it asks the MD for the kit.

omf! I TOTALLY need something that converts midi ccs to NRPN. something to modulate my micron.

Ok, so that was one of the things I wanted to build. 2 MIDI IN, 2 MIDI OUT, and a configurable filter software. I'll work on that when I come back form STFU marseille.

great little unit manuel! is it based on an atmel chip?

Yeah, I want to filter, for instance, cc 21 to some NRPN value. I can do it with midipipe, but it would be nice to have a hardware converter to sit between my monomachine and my Electribe ESX.
