I got my diploma today, on my birthday. Thats good, since I didn't get anything else. You see, thats because I'M MOVIN OUTTA HERE.
After a long discussion, my wife and I decided that its high time we stopped being so responsible, and time we started getting aggressive about things we wanted. And atop that list, is a nice place to live on the West coast. Since she has a nice job offer on the Kitsap Peninsula, we'll be going there.

Thats a map of my trip. OMFG is that ever a long way. If you stretch it out straight, you can go all the way from Ho Chi Minh City to Perth Australia. Or all the way from Rome to central Africa. And I'm about to drive that. $800 in gasoline by my estimate. Another $1885 to move all of our stuff by a freight company.
I am petrified. I have no job, no idea where I'll be living, nothing. Gonna have our stuff held at a storage center for a few days while we drive around.
SO LOOKOUT, HIPPIES!
I'm coming to town to gawk at your harbor seals and fish throwers at your farmers markets, and get a job or go broke trying.

don't listen to the haters from seattle with their fitted jeans and tattoos... tacoma is great
and honeslty I don't think the commute is that bad anymore, traffic wise--there's TWO bridges now, instead of one, after all. From gig harbor to tacoma, depending on where you live there, is about 20 or 30 mins.
We've been looking for a good waiter at the restaurant i'm working at ;P
but that's part time and not really in your line of work it seems, haha

isn't it a paper mill that stinks up tacoma? cause I've smelled that before, and I believe it is genuinely the most awful stink in the whole world.
and don't worry, i take things with a grain of salt when they come from people who have lived in the NW very long. My wife and I cackle at reviews of things in the NW. Mexican restaurant: "do not go here, I saw a guy touch the tortilla chips with his hands" Oyster Bay Inn: "not very nice, for example, the cheerios bin contained granola."
And why do I need a gun for bremerton?

yeah dude.
you will find the exaggeration obnoxious at first. it takes time to settle into the cascadian bubble. but once you have, your perspective will be warped permanently.
