"STEIM is a vital computer music research institution in the tradition of CCRMA, CNMAT, and IRCAM. They have developed a great deal of technology in conjunction with electronic music artists, including the Cracklebox and Laetitia Sonomiís Ladyís Glove.

They now seem to be in a bit of financial trouble.

The call for support is out to help fundamental research center STEIM keep their funding secure."

Basically, they need folks to tell their government that they have an international impact beyond a local niche audience. Write a letter if you love steim!
