--> Hi,

Inspired by some nostalgic messages w/ mlbot, I've been revisiting much of the old Skinny Puppy catalog. I just want to open the floodgates of love for those guys in their heydays. I mean, seriously, Rabies, Cleanse Fold & Manipulate, Vivisect6 etc. everything through Last Rights really are such gorgeous gems of indignant, righteous protest music, with soooo much innovative sound design and approaches to e-composition.

Skinny Puppy is the shit.

So there.

yeah, i think i was being a bit too critical.

heres another one, i realy dug this one a while ago too: link

In addition to other early 90's groups mentioned, I'll add Numb, Will, Kode IV, Placebo Effect, Aircrash Bureau, and most of the styles from this comp: link
All those still get regular play for me in addition to all the greats. My absolute favorite is still Die Warzau's Disco Rigido. link

I liked Numb for a while. They had an awesome song called Eugene that meant something to a few of us as we suffered through college in Eugene Oregon.

holy shit, satka is completely brutal, I love it

haha now we're turning into RMI.

Rogerroger, those aren't industrial bands you loser, thats pussy EBM crap.
We only like link these type of bands, man, because we're more industrial than you.
I'm so industrial, I eat kellogs Frosted Rivets for breakfast and poop bolts at night.
I have a goth girlfriend.
i dont eat meat but i shoot heroin.
etc etc etc

also, ;) ;) ;)

Ok, most of that isn't heavy shit, but Numb and Die Warzau are, imo. There are love songs on Hilt albums. Does that disqualify Kevin Crompton?

I love that Die Warzau album, too. And numb as well.... so all is forgiven.
I just had to throw a little industrial attitude around for old times sake.
holy shit RMI nononononono

thats it, when I get home tonight I'm putting on my too dark park T-shirt (I still got it) and watching... no... SAMPLING from Time bandits. And drinking beer. No, Whisky.

I love it when a plan comes together.

lol yeah of course skinny puppy are the shit :P

i didn't like their latest release. sounds like trance music.

also, coil are gods

yes, Coil are gods.

What about keef baker's industrial project (well, not his per se, but...)

LOL@ industrial Humpty Dance. Oh how I hated all those Cleopatra "cover" and "tribute" CDs... just made me feel like , yes, industrial music had become a big joke.

link

tg, coil, etc... test dept... clock dva, yep... agreed. all good stuff.

foetus - what a crazy guy - but I remember scouring record conventions trying to find his different albums on vinyl back in the day.
