I'm making a rare live appearance at Holocene this coming Wednesday. With Four Tet! I haven't heard the newest Four Tet release but my understanding is that he is starting to fuse his open jazzy sound with a techno vibe. I think Four Tet & Strategy on the same bill is a little too obvious, Like having rice AND rice noodles in your stir fry, but it'll be really neat: two AUDIOMULCH devoted performers on the same bill.
My set will not be very techno ish, here are some 'what if' or 'chance meeting' type ideas for my live set that I have in mind:
"On the Corner" meet Basic Channel/Chain Reaction
Morton Subotnik vs. Sly & the Family Stone
Orchestra Baobab vs. Model 500
Featuring some live synth-drum, noise machine, and organ jamming (just got my Farfisa refurbished- had it 17 years and it's never been to the doctor)
