i post some pictures. i went with gf and friends to aurora oregon to see the architectural salvage place and the antique stores. i don't know the history of the colony (aurora community/colony 1857?) but the architectural place was very good for graphics inspiration.

i have another batch but still not ready.

Wow these are great. Sounds like it was a really cool trip.
the aurora colony was a utopian christian group that were communists- they shared everything they had and backed it up with new testament principles. Lasted up until the great depression, if memory serves. Interesting place to visit- I've seen the shakers villages in Kentucky and Ohio, and I grew up around Mennonites a lot. Fringe groups have a really rich heritage all over the US.
