i might burn in hell, but i like new order way more than joy division.

i still need to see the movie.

burn in hell

i've seen the dvd at my local video rental place, but we went for superbad instead. gnah

have not seen it but i did hear good reports..

which one? the documentary or the movie with actors? the actor one is pretty good but it does help if you've read Deborah Curtis' book

I've seen it, it's really good, but hella depressing.
as a movie, um.... it has some great acting moments but its not the type of film you watch for the sake of "film".

I don't even understand the concept of liking New Order never rmind finding them preferable to Joy Division :P

see link ;o)
i've not seen 'control' but the book 'touching from a distance' is really good.
the documentary 'joy division' is amazing.
It's still out in the cinema here in London, I recently got around to watching Control though...it was a striking and excellent movie! I'm a HUGE Joy division fan.

p.s Burn in hell

yeh, I enjoyed Control too. It's more about Curtis' relationship with his wife and his bit on the side than the band themselves which probably makes it more interesting as a result. I wasn't too aware of Joy Division's music but the film certainly made me want to hear more.

I can't believe Curtis was only 23 when he died (hope I'm not spoiling the ending for anyone there?)

there's a screening of this movie at the little movie theatre in town this weekend and I hope to check it out. I never got into the band, but the bit that I have seen/heard/know interests me.

give Ferny a break, she's only like 22 or something, isn't she?

i'll get the torches ready. i have enough for everyone.
actually i do like NO a bit more than JD, but just a tad little bit

i like joy division a lot, but usually only when i am brooding or really angst-ridden. on the other hand, i can listen to new order all the time, especially the really cheesy numbers like "bizarre love triangle"

One of the best films I've ever seen.

This is one of my favourite parts Video
