you know, they have lots of good VSTs now, you could free up a lot of that workspace by selling all those old crummy synths.
The great thing about VSTs is you dont need to "patch" anythin, its all done virtually. And better yet, the computer "remembers" all the settings for you!
And you can download lots of great patches made by top artists.
Think of how much more free youd be to create music without all that clutter! Its not just good technology, its good feng shui.

feng shui is bullshit. penn and teller said so.

also, softsynths can't be painted orange and put right in front of me in 3 dimensions. but i use vst's as well..or AU's really. it's just that some synths can't be replaced by vst's and once you bond with the hardware it can be hard to let go of. plus it's just too much fun to sequence hardware with other hardware and make weird things happen.... and another thing.... knobs.. dedicated boxes..yada yada yada..

my plans to get you to sell me your modulars cheap isn't working so far. Time for plan b.

I have a man working on the inside.

Nice interview man! I notice you don't have a banjo? Why is that?

i see u just stole a pic of jchots studio and photoshopped him out

holy crap, awesome studio jchot !!

Is that a DM-300 I see on the floor there? Wicked. Me wants.

He doesn't have a banjo because he's from Oregon, not Alabama.

I went to an old friends once who had feng shui books on a shelf and couldnt help myself but point out that they were in the wrong place.

Nice studio and interview stv.
Feng shui seems to work in Animal Crossing and nowhere else

fuckin lol. awesome.

rogerroger.. yeah that's a DM-300. i outbid jdg for it on ebay. apparently i paid $30 too much for it but it's in immaculate condition.

i don't have a banjo because i'm saving for a moog guitar which can emulate a banjo and is much uglier ;)

$7000 for a guitar is ridiculous

Altho infinite sustain sounds pretty cool

is that a fucking fs1r

note to self: RogerRoger doesn't dig banjos.

i'm no geeter player but it looks like a fun thing... for 20 minutes. i was shocked when i saw the price... wtf? really? hopefully this doesn't take them into the arp pattern of events. every forum/blog etc that has a post about the moog guitar starts off with "why is it so fugly"

fs1r- yep. i've only had it a few months but jesus it's fucking crazy and stupid. the software editor is very helpful... though i have managed to make some cool sounds paging through those endless parameters. it really is a different sounding machine and a gem. nothing sounds like it... at least nothing i've ever used. i remember when every music shop was blowing them out at $300 and i didn't buy one then. wish i had. i'd be smarter or something.
