i made it sort of. i bought one of those quiklok Z stands. i think it's a mixer stand or something.. and just sanded/painted/mounted a nice board to it. drilled some holes in the board to put the 2nd tier kb stand thingy in there and viola. it was pretty cheap because the Zstand thing had been sitting on the showroom floor of a music shop in portland for who knows how long. they sold it to me on the cheap. quiklok makes all kinds of contraptions. if i had to do it again i might do it differently. the mackie is zip tied to the keyboard stand... but it's out of the way and that's all i needed. the little blue mixer is the one i use most so that's the only one i need close to me.

ahh, so the 2nd tier kb stand thingy is attached to the Z stand? if so, is it designed to do that, or did you have to rig it?
if it's attached to the table top, how did you manage that?

it's attached to the table top. that particular 2nd tier thingy basically has clamps on the bottom so you can clamp to more than just a keyboard stand though it's not really designed for that. in this case it worked fine. i just drilled a couple large holes (large enough for the bolts to fit through) and then just clamped it to the table top.

Agreed, if the foot was _behind_ the desk this would be fit for a mainstream publication (It'd still end up on link tho ;)).
