I adore radiohead it's nice to see someone exploring a remix comp more than a 4/4 beat! I wish I had got involved

3000 emails of job offers and record deals? lucky chap -- quite a nice way to finish uni.

I still like this kind of Cinderella story. [pedant]3000 emails including job offers and record deals[/pedant] ;)

i wonder if he got an A?

I like this but, is this really a remix? It sounds more like a cover then a remix.

what does it mean to 'like' something?

thought it was shite.

eh, it was okay musically, conceptually worthless though, "His film focuses on cultural identity and way we adopt an emotional relationship with obsolete technologies", smells like bullshit. this is just like when the public finds about something that's been going on for ages and goes apeshit. it sucks to be the bleeding edge.

don't get me wrong, i totally understand what's happening here, the video is actually pretty good looking too, and i really like the scanner sound, but the zx programming is shit, the typewriter plays the same thing the whole time, the intro is too long, the oscilloscope is pointless, and the array of harddrives (although looking cool) is totally retarded. At the end is says "harddrive speakers" number one, harddrives are digital, you can hear them alone like a vinyl, and secondly, why the hell would he need so many for those shit samples of thom yorke?

it's interesting sure, but great? no
wait if it's supposed to be the scratching of the harddrives that makes the sound, that's cool if he actually programmed them to do that, but that seems kindof unlikely

damn i'm an idiot, it says they act as speakers, i wish you could edit posts here

yeah i saw this recently, I lurve it.

the hard drive speakers and scanner-bass are the parts that make it imo; the printer and spectrum appear purely for retro-geek kudos. the fact it happens to be well shot and stylishly filtered can't hurt either. in short i think it's very well packaged, and the initial wow-factor of the hd speakers, despite the relative ease of hooking them up to a hifi amp, has a huge impact.

kidgamma: you can edit posts here. click on the + on the right side where it shows the time you posted. it will expand & you will see "edit"
however, it doesn't always work on this site.
