Has any tried one of these? I bought one a while ago and just recently started to delve into a little more. The factory presets are ok but they don't do it justice. I mean they're good but it's capable of much more. Underneath is a really powerful and excellent sounding synth engine.
A couple of days ago i realised i had my inputs on the soundcard set incorrectly so my R3 was not outputting at the right volume. So now the R3 is sounding like it ought to and it's is simply outstanding. Each patch is inspiration for a new track and you can tweak and come with a myriad of new sounds easily. It's far exceeded my expectations and i think my next purchase will be a radias rack. One just aint enough! And considering the types of sound the R3 can output the Radias must sound incredible!
The vocoder was the main draw but now i think the synth is the best thing about it,and the fx.
I've owned a few hw synths but nothing that sounds like the R3 does or is as capable of such a wide range of timbres. I think korg have hit the spot with this one.
Yeah,it's been a bit of a revelation and that's why i posted this. I've been searching a long time for synth with which i could create the sounds i wanted to and i think i've finally found it with the R3!
Peace.

Um, can we hear what this thing sounds like?
Describing how great a synth sounds is like dancing about architecture.
