this made me sad too, he was youngish and still as beautifully vitriolic as ever. I think he still had a lot more to say / spew. He was one of my favorite, so damn cantankerous and crusty. If zanf were an old yank.

I agree, he had so much left to say and had just as much mental and creative fire and energy at 70, if not more, than in his "7 dirty words" period. I didn't start listening to him until around '98 but have been a fan ever since. He may have let on that humanity has no hope and the sooner it swirls down the toilet the better, but he loved putting on a show.

I'll miss him alot.

why do people still use round shoelaces? the flat lace made round laces obsolete. then some marketing genius decided that round laces looked better. yeah, but you'll be tying them up every 100 steps.

i'm a fan of george carlin and flat laces. he will be missed.

I kind of grew up with Carlin as my Mom was a big fan. She'd say "He's very rude, but it's okay because he's also very smart". He was the first stand up I knew by name, and the first comedy record I can remember listening to aside from "C is for Cookie" by the Cookie Monster.
