From a rehearsal gig before their tour, which is underway. Sound quality is so so, about as good as it gets for MBV shows -- someone needs to mic one of these gigs with some heavy duty equipment!
I'm old, so I saw them in 1991 and I'm going to see them in NYC in September... closer to 20 years apart than I'd like to think about. I was so much better looking then.

Im seeing them a week on Thursday in Glasgow. Really looking forward to it.

as much, as i'm really looking forward to see them play, also have mixed feelings about it. i'd be too afraid, that the show could suck. i won't go see them if this recording is anything to go by they are playing the exact same show that they used to. it couldn't sound more the same.
the only difference will be better quality PA setups which might mean that you can hear the vocals. this is what I have to say about seeing MBV play live: I was REALLY REALLY astonishing. So heavy, so unbelievably loud,...... and... . gorgeous. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. w00t!

I saw them in 91 in Sydney, it was terrirfyingly loud. I won't hold my breath for them to come back. but them, the pixies did so maybe.... yoghurtsuit you should go see them, if only for those that can't can't wait for september. it'll b the first time i see them...
i'll be looking for some show near by. the bootleg made me reconsider .
listened to it three or four times. I missed the london show
