--> my head exploded with joy on sunday.

i was browsing Glasgow's world famous Barras Market and came across...
a working plastic electric guitar complete with matching plastic battery operated amp!!
I paid £10 for the pair.
(thanks kidquallude for lending me the cash)

the guy at the stall was like:
"this guitar is great, it has real metal strings, you can plug.."
i cut him of mid sentence and said
"i know, ive already got two in the house"
(see pic)

anyone else got one of these?
they read: KIDSWAY on the headstock and ROCKSTAR on the body.

now i can start a PROPER band.

for anyone interested...
listen to the first track on this myspace to hear what they sound like:

lol, those guitars are teh aces

i want to take them on tour.

like The Three Tenors.

Plastic Trio

I think the video hippos actually plays these on stage. and they just sounded like shitty electric guitars too...

I need one!

get an octave down effect on one for the "bass" sound.

Better make it two octaves down, on second thought.

yay! when i saw the title of this blog, I just knew it was monty and his amazing** collection of spastic guitars.

**not quite as amazing as managing to get that tight fisted scottish coont to lend you a tenner *blushes*

you'll need to hire a roadie to handle your guitar changes during your live set
they are great. not seen those before. awesome

take two, they're small

i love these things.

the intonation is all fucked up, but if you stick a capo on them it sorts it out.

i highly recommend them.
add a lot of gain and your sorted.

i want to join!!!!

that first song on the myspace is rad!

using a slide always fixes that intonation problem too. I have a little wooden junker with the same problem- first 5 frets sound the same!

i love plastic guitars too...I've circuit bent an old fisher price guitar where the buttons on the neck make the sounds instead of strings...then wired the three plastic "strings" to make bends on a tr 707...it was bad ass...
