So to celebrate the triple eights in style, we put on a night in Hachi, Shibuya last Friday. I did an improvsied set with my mate Peter Slade (who is much more famous than me coz he's in at least 3 bands - Legofriendly, Missing Man Foundation and Pfueti). He ran a set of controlled randomness from ableton and I jammed along with my MPC and DS.

It's the first time I've tried recording a whole live set through mics, and I like it. Certainly you realise just how much talking goes on while you play and you also get to hear all the dumb comments you made to your wingman during the set. The fact that we were palying on a soundsystem with comparable output to a gnat's fart didn't help matters much either, but hey, it was fun!
