i think tx81z is an ace name cos its all letters and numbers and is difficult to say- too many syllables- its well technical
i really want to do a tx81z versus battle with someone cos 'tx81z vs tx81z' would look brilliant on a flyer/poster

royce, I saw your post at analogue heaven. Did you try the Midi on its own output? Even if they do possess poor Midi processing performance, I'd still try to track down the original PS.

Anyone ever use a fb-01 it's like a smaller tx81z in a half rack case.
Has a slightly different sound than most other DX synths most people say it sounds "rounder"
Anyway where the tx81z is about $40 the fb-01 is only around $25.
It's a little more difficult to program but still has all the cheesy goodness of 5 bricks of old velveeta.
