no NY? booooooooooooo!

weather is odd and stormy in turn, btw.

Will you be playing any gigs?

weather? if you're in the southern midwest you're getting shit-pounded with thunderstorms constantly.
Round these parts its been a fairly mild summer.

and you'll be shot at, we dont like forners

Sweet. You gonna hit SF?

don't be afraid of weird roadside bars/taco stands. also, look out for cows on the road.

oooh see the grand canyon, it's cool. and the stars at night are amazing.....
LA is perfect weather right now, which is crazy for this time of year, normally a lot more hot, by the time you end up here it should be even cooler

have fun, i have driven across the country once, it is so much fun

I just made a similar trip, but a little longer!
Oh and pick up a gas can and keep it full in the trunk for emergencies. A lot of places in the US will stretch a long, long way before you see another gas station. I nearly ran out in Idaho once. Also, bring a GPS with an American map, it'll help you find a place to stay, eat, etc. You'll get "lost" a lot more effectively. Get a big sirloin steak in OK or TX and eat it with A1 sauce- look for a place where people throw peanut shells on the floor. If you have never had that taste, you've never experienced the midwest. You should also eat tons of the good mexican food you will find in the southwest.
Wish you could drop by Seattle and Portland too! there's a ton of us up here and we'd love to meet you!

yes if you came to seattle i would visit america again. heck, maybe even pdx....

i have massive jealous eyes

check out sushi dan's in studio city (on ventura blvd) while you're in LA for the quintessential american experience. there's an irish pub behind it where bikers will headbutt you for cigarettes... if you're in the mood for dessert.

wow. massive feedbakc.

first of all, fredo, its not my fault new york is not on route 66. if it was up to me, new york would be the first stop. next time, i promise. btw, is there a route that runs from ny to seattle via sf? sounds like the natural next step.

uf, i wont be playing anything. i love it. this is pure holiday, quality time with brother and dad. if i was planning on playing i would think about it so much, the trip would be about that.

john mccaig, i hope youre talking about shooting me with the luv-gun. i am all up for it:P

i dont think we have time for sf this time around, but i hope we will get to see grand canyon.

claudia, yeah, i remember you told me! i remember you adviced me to bring tape recorder

delta, thanks for the advice, seems smart. i really look forward to trying the steaks!!!!!

pdx, what is that? we dont have the pdx in the norwaaii.

highdrop, you freak me out! BIKERS WILL HEADBUT YOU FOR CIGARETTES!!!

Ted Drewes frozen custard stand in St. Louis is a must for the Route 66 tour.
