PDX is what people in portland say when they mean portland. They are under the impression that everyone is always flying there, or something.

or they're just lazy.

i am massively jealous. it's gonna be a beautiful trip... chicago... LA... ! LUCKY GUY !

God, this just sounds so great! Frozen custard stand! YAY!

hurray yeah. frozen custard here i come!!!

be sure to boink as many fat chicks with big boobs while you're over here......they tell me that they don't have those in europe.

it's a shame you aren't coming near AL or TN, I could show you some good places to eat, things to see.

OH! and eat at a cracker-barrel restaurant! don't let the fact that they're a chain fool you, their food is excellent. they also have shops attached to the restaurant that are crammed with "americana" stuff.
cracker-barrel?????

Dude...

HAHAHAHA.

sorry.

im going back to lurking. its funier

I'm thinking from a swiss' perspective, I would say that cracker barrell is pretty authentic, I used to work at one. the food is all fresh.

you know, a cracker barrel gift store is a really good idea. every time I am in one it is completely full of foreigners buying tons of stuff, I kid you not. You'd get a big kick out of cracker barrel, even if the food isn't the best example. The best "Americana" comes from flea markets- which will be ALL over where you are going. If you can be really organized you can catch one, and they will blow your mind, prugs. BLOW IT. 2 meter high velvet paintings of biggie smalls... bongs, livestock, cockfighting stuff, tons of b movies on DVD, you've gotta go!
They happen primarily on weekends, earlier in the day. They are usually near a fairgrounds of some sort.
also, remember, A1 steak sauce.
Try ROOT BEER too!

These are the things they don't tell you in a travel brochure, but they are the good stuff that makes up living in the midwest.

if by excellent you mean bland and filled with old people, then yes, tis the par excellence of the restaurant experience.

When McDonalds first opened in the UK they sold Root Beer, thinking us Brits would buy the stuff HAHAHA
It didn't last long
In scotland they replaced it with Irn-Bru and now they're still in business

Root beer is like Cracker Barrel. I'm not telling prugs what I like, I'm telling him things that define America. Please also stop at a county fair or something like that as well, prugs. Oh and eat barbeque.
I think I need to be your tour guide!
