so i was browsing last.fm this morning and was looking at the people listening to my music (yes – sad but true) and i found tracks by an artist called nq with titles that weren't mine. so i googled a bit and it turned out, that there's some other artist called nq releasing chiptunesq noise stuff.
thing is this artist just released his/her first record and i'm doing nq-stuff since 2002. what would you do? i just wrote the label an email, if the could give me the contact-info, so i can contact the artist. that's really annoying and i'm pissed off about myself, that i choose such a dumb artist-name. hence i share the name with that god-damn boring nq arbuckle and lot's of people from somewhere in asia. dunno if it is thailand or the philipines, where nq seems to be a normal name. i came to the conclusion, that i don't care.
even keith rowe has released a record together with somebody as n:q. so what. let's see how the german „rapper“ reacts to my myspace-friend-request making up new names is fun but if youve already released stuff as nq then i guess youve got to stick with it
there must be a million bla's (probably not many who pronounce it properly though (like 'blag' with a silent g, NOT like 'blah')) but its ok , i can be dr skime or lord redux v or robot missile factory or hojo cruba or vlothun gusquef or rechimen crotox or ..... i flew of the handle with another EM artist advert here "lunatik".
I picked plankton records for my label name (out of many, one kind of bullshit thinking) .... ... come to find a .co.uk plankton records indie twisted jesus rock label link ... well, i got drunk and let that name disappear. maybe i should start making feet for childrens' shoes instead...
