eula something like: by transmitting anything through chrome you're giving google a perpetual, non-exclusive right to use that data how they like.

i really did read most of it after implexgrace mentioned it. google definitely DOES NOT do that. there's a clause in the EULA that states explicitly that they have absolutely no right to do so.

9.4 Other than the limited license set forth in Section 11, Google acknowledges and agrees that it obtains no right, title or interest from you (or your licensors) under these Terms in or to any Content that you submit, post, transmit or display on, or through, the Services, including any intellectual property rights which subsist in that Content (whether those rights happen to be registered or not, and wherever in the world those rights may exist). Unless you have agreed otherwise in writing with Google, you agree that you are responsible for protecting and enforcing those rights and that Google has no obligation to do so on your behalf.

11. Content license from you

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.

i think it read something else before i saw the changes, there was a news article about it. it was a mistake, and it was changed.

Such a light weight browser will be great for when you have to check your e-mail during a live set.

this thing literally bears no cpu stress. good google. good google!

it's not just firefox 3... read about how they split up tasks into processes, rather than just threads.

also, all things flash, youtube included, are working fine for me. i'm on the latest release candidate version of flash player 10: link .

yeah, my flash problems fixed themselves.

strangely, there are no updating options in chrome. i think it must be all automatic.

actually I thought it was really ugly.

ok, i actually just read that whole thing.
wow, i feel like a giant geek.
i'm going to go drink some beer and watch a violent sport to make up for it.
There's a massive uproar about the browser in the SEO industry. Personally I like it...it's simple! It won't replace firefox and also google have not said anything about withdrawing from donating to mozilla.

The rumours are that google has released chrome in a bid to get it's foot in the door of the web turning into cloud based OS. That's speculation mind...

It won't replace firefox

maybe not for them. for me it has.

I'll try the nw flash update. I'd liek it to replace firfox but i love so many plugins firefox has. As soon as my video (to audio)grabber plugin etc will be compatible i'm switching!

plugins and skins, if you dont like blue

I dig the browser alot. Their blog says the OSX version will be out in a month or two. Talk about a fast browser.

"we've taken this existing process boundary .... and made it into a jail. Shazam!"

If you've ever used picasa, their update mechanism really sucks. There was even a time when it couldn't tell you if there were updates, and you had to search for downloads that weren't even properly versioned. plus it still doesn't export pictures with all the effects effected.

yeah it's pretty fast so far.

youtube werks.
