this position is kind of absurd. it's like saying "you're not allowed to not allow ppl to hate gays", since it's based on the idea that you shouldn't forbid people from holding beliefs. By the same logic which says "i shouldn't forbid ppl from hating gays", "you shouldn't forbid me from wanting to forbid ppl from hating gays". I should clarify that i don't want to forbid hatred by law. forbidding hatred is impossible anyway. I do wish to influence people to destroy unnecessary hatred in the world, and i do think law should prevent material discrimination founded on a reason other than character and skills.

I see nothing wrong with working to eradicate prejudice in the world, at least in principle. It's a tricky prospect tho, since it's somehow like labelling the labellers in an effort to stop labelling. It's also possilbe to get ppl who hold this position and get sanctimonious and preachy about it, and that's certainly not the point.

we shouldn't want to stop people from labelling at all, since that would mean ignoring the obvious (eg women have higher body fat content), but the more proximate harm comes from telling people who they should have sex with and what forms of sex are good and which are dirty/immoral. Preventing this latter crime is the duty of all who have faith in humanity.

So if you see somebody forcing heterosexuality on someone who doesn't need it, if the oppurtunity is right, then let the offender know that he's an asshole.

why not try leading from example and talk specifically about your sexuality? Maybe peoples sexuality is as relevent as peoples gender to how it affects how they make music?
