--> Hey peepz,

posted a short document with lots of mp3s and sysex and wave samples about doing techno on the machinedrum. I explain how I built two patterns and how I approach designing the sound layers. Also included is a small jam showing how to work these two patterns. You can downlad the whole sysex and the wave files so you can try it out yourself!

I think this is useful not only for people with the machinedrum, as you can follow the ideas using the mp3 samples.

Nice going! Reading these is always interesting. I am curious to know some more about what you are doing with ableton live, you are using it to layer loops of different kicks and snares and hats together to see what combinations work? wouldnt this be just as easy to do by loading and merging kits on the md? (you can copy sounds from kit to kit, right?) in regards to the patterns, you could program in new trigger patterns in an instant.. what am i missing here?

kick ass! i liked this blog, manuel!

This is wonderful. Thank you!
