pillowtalk - you are thinking of robert crumb. charles was one of roberts brothers link

the website jdg linked is very sad but interesting reading. poor kid. he's definately got a number of mental problems.

ahhh... you're right, I was thinking of Robert.

not to be confused with george crumb:

Actually, this is becoming a much more common thing in Japan. They call such people Hikikomori (nytimes article): link

Basically, there are a lot of teenage shut ins who feel so much pressure to be successful, they drop out, preferring to spend time at home. It seems to be a social phenomenon that is spreading.

i've heard about this guy. doesn't he live in a bank vault and drive a tank?

this guy is total asperger's.

woah, I just wrote a paper on "Freaks"

My roommate reminds me exactly of this guy...23 yearold who has yet to graduate high school, get laid, or try any mind altering substance. He's also 10K in debt.

p.s. though he is addicted to World of War Crack

did you notice in the picture, the altoids cans are holding dryer sheets over the keyboard, to protect it form getting oily.

This guy is beyond Hikkimori.

He's convinced that showering will bankrupt his family and he apparently hasn't sat in a chair in over five years. He plays an imaginary game in his mind for hours on end and talks regularly to a 24-inch tall green man-dog. He's scared of silverware and the letter 'p'.

He's at the very least a world-class obsessive compulsive, and he's autistic. Asperger's is for fat programmer kids who can't get dates. This guy is handicapped.

BTW, he posted a beta of his game last week.

Wow. I didn't read that far. This is definitely beyond that.

Don't read any more. You'll get sucked in.

Here's his advice on music processing, kind of an anti-mastering guide.

To some, 16 Kbps is extremely low quality and would likely sound very dull and/or highly distorted. The trick is, don't use Stereo sound, and use a lower sample rate than the usual 44,100 Hz. Why use Mono and 11,025 Hz? For one, there's no real difference between mono and stereo from what I can tell, nothing significant. This cuts the file sizes in half. Also, I hate actual sound frequencies above 3 KHz and I always mute them on equalizers. 3KHz needs a sample rate of at least 6000 Hz. 8000 Hz sample rates on the MP3 player sound extremely messed up (even with 32Kbps bit rates) so 11,025 Hz is the next best. You'd otherwise have to be near the speakers in a silent area to otherwise hear the very minute distortions, so minute they aren't distracting at all. In some cases, I'd use 8 Kbps, but Audacity won't let me use that option.... 8Kbps is only good on those very slow speeds, especially below 60% true speed (30,000 Hz sample rate in the original)."

He also listens to his music sped up so you can get more listens in...

thats a omfgwtfbbq if i ever saw one.

kinda interesting though.

i'm so not weird.
i feel more normal today than any other day since my first birthday.
