no room at my place for it.

anybody here ever rent a small storage space and make all kinds of ruckus in there? I knew a band who did it... even facing a 7-11 rockin the F**K out.

just hoping for some creative solutions for this problem. whats the weirdest place youve set up equipment, rocked till 3am and didnt go to jail?

i've rented a storage space in miami to play with my former band at all hours of the night, there were 3 problems:

lack of power outlets
it was HOT AS FUCK even with 3 fans running (eating into our power outlets too)
it cost about 120 dollars a month. which to us, was a lot.

eep.. yes.. airconditioned would be nice. I knew of an affordable one in Ft. Lauderdale / gooottttaa be some elsewheres.
seems like such a cool solution though, you must of had a blast anyway

there are several storage companies that cater to bands in tampa. i rented one a while back that had a/c, and isolation booth built-in. it sounded pretty good if you didn't mind the asbestos and insulation sticking to the walls. it was really cool because so many bands had rented the room it was almost a time capsule of bands past. out-of-date vulgarities, former girlfriend's phone numbers, graphiti art of every skill level decorated the foam. on any given night you could hear a couple other bands practicing at all hours (it was in an industrial park so no neighbors).

ive heard of it

thanks pawel. your a peach.
got my juno-60 yesterday colin

Soundproof things?

sounds like u need some vdrums for the night time, I know you hate me man, Im learning
to deal with it.

I have been in a band who did that. my freinds mom paid for it cause she didn't want the jamming at here house. It was alot of fun and we just brought lots of water to drink, tons of power strip outlets, and couches and rugs and such. Sure it was hot as shit but we were a teenage punk band, and also there was a lady who kept maintanece of the place that always hassled us, one time she changed our lock, she was just being a complete bitch to us, i swear she lived there.
