ello ello,
time for a happy happy blog from me. 
not everything is tip top or anything - e.g. i seem to have forgotten how to sleep at night - BUT one thing is making me really happy indeed. i am gigging, lots!! i have four gigs booked between now and christmas, and for me that's loads. i have been working hard on my livesets and have made my setup portable, and relatively easy to set up and set down (?). all i have now is a guitar case full of hardware and a bag full of leads - see pic. if i take my guitar too it's just one more guitar case, which is much better than the van full of stuff i used to take everywhere ;)
BEST of all though, i have stopped nearly dying of stress related injuries every time i near my gigs. i have one tomorrow night ( link ) and i am shit scared still but it's more hopeful anticipation than out and out fear!
just wanted to share my new joy of playing live. still loads more to experience but i am on my way, in a way i thought i'd never reach when i started out.
i'd like to thank the good people of EM411(!!) for your initial encouragement and your ongoing support. thanks to waz (the centrifuge) for believing in me and booking me for lots of gigs...and thanks to my dear girlfriend for putting up with my studio in her dining room and the almost constant noise and shit!

um, dkarma: the blue thing nearest the camera is an Alesis AirFX...and the blue thing just beyond that is a redsound looper thingy (soundbite)...and i've just seen they have a new one out...boohooooooo, more spend!
KidQ: deffo more portable...which is great...but as jogn pointed out, still heavy. that's cool though, just buying myself some wheels to put at the end that the mixer is on, should sort it!
