Electronic Music news: a synthesist is born!
Store Written November 26 2008 , Tags: synthesizers, babies
we had a baby last week. his name is jasper. he's kind of a lily white boy despite having a south asian grandpa. hopefully he'll get his mother's almond eyes.

we were down in the studio last night making some electro. jasper was manning the modcan. with his eyes closed!

he's going to be one of those lucky guys that grows up with a basement full of synthesizers. i just grew up in a basement. there might have been some mildew. and an old snooker table. no synthesizers though.

Congratulations Jeff! Amazing news! What a lucky little boy!
babys often resemble their father for the first few months. this is so the father (you) wont eat them!
DONT EAT YOUR BABY
PS do you have any pictures of you and him together? I made a picture of my collaborative partner and his baby a while ago, I think every father and son should have one of these:

Congrats!

Possibly you could now integrate your baby into your setup. I'm thinking some baby triggered granulation would work well.
confratulations
yeah. with my luck he'll be the keyboardist in a christian rock band.
...or worse, a "guitar hero".
THERE WILL BE NO GUITARS IN MY HOUSE!!!!
No, Im talking about plastic guitars with multi-color buttons on them

btw, I didn't even notice there was a baby in the pic ;)

I like folk! So what. "

sure. first guitar, then an earing. when does it stop?

with keyboardists you just have to worry about bad pony tails.
congrats!!! oh man! so when do you think he will begin patching?!?!

esp bassguitars!
Got me thinking:

You could make a million dollars if you designed a cheap plastic modular synth kids toy. With patch cables permanently attached to the synth. Would it really be that tough? Color code it and put shapes on it, call it educational. Musical toys sell really well anyways...

Or stackable modular blocks! Like lego, but it makes a tune!!!
awesome! congrats man. looks like a pretty big kid! lucky bugger too. glad to see you are making some tunes too.
yeah. he was 8 lbs 0 oz. bigger than we expected cuz my wife is a small lady. we had him at home, which was really cool. baby's born, you get in bed and go to sleep.
