Electronic Music other: favorite film of 2008

or maybe even one of my favorite films ever.

my winnipeg
link

guy madden is canada's best and most famous experimental film maker... he uses many of his classic experimental techniques in this film, but this film is not as out-there as much of his past stuff making it even digestible to someone who doesn't like "experimental" films.
I thought it was amazing, even having not visited the city of winnipeg very much... its kind of a documentary, except that about 50% of the things he says (it seems) are complete lies, it doesn't feel like a documentary at all...
anyway, i cant explain it any better, just see it, it blew me away.

whats yours?

I saw Wall E yesterday and I was very impressed. I've been waiting for a CG movie of that caliber for a long time.
Extreme Public Piss #41
Dammit, I must have missed #1-40.
they're all not bad but #41 is the star that shines the brightest
as far as cinematography goes, Into The Wild link was my personal "this year's finest".
most definitely mine was Synechoche, NY (SP???) What an amazingly strange and moving dream film. Me and hecanjog saw it together and that might be another reason why it was one of my favorite experiences in 2008. Erik also took me to my first surround sound experimental music show and that was one of my favorite aural experiences ever! Hey, that sounds dirty!
Wall-E almost perfect. nothing is perfect.
SP: Synecdoche. The new Charlie Kaufman. Haven't seen it yet, but I haven't missed a Kaufman flick yet..

The Wrestler: The new Aronofsky looks really good too.

And I haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire.

So there's three movies that could be better than Wall E.
oh, yeah, wall-e was great indeed. Really great movie.
Easily the Alyson Stoner Project. Wait a sec.. who is that as the "sound re-recording mixer"!?!??!?!?!?!

+!?

?
damn i've been waiting for Synecdoche for a while... did i miss it? did it not come to canada?

yeah, wall-e was pretty good... did seem like just another pixar movie to me though, nothing amazing.

Astroid! Awesome!

I'd LOVE to be involved in film. My ultimate musical goal is to write a score.
Let the right one in
Early 80s. Dull swedish childhood. Vampires!
Part nostalgia, part awesome.
i hardly ever watch movies. but wall-e was i think one of the best i've ever seen this year. my winnipeg is pretty awesome too. even tough it's hella weird.

i saw valley girl for the first time yesterday.that is a also a very weird movie. oh, and i saw the remake of the day the earth stood still, and it wasn't very good, but it was also way better than i expected.
