About me

I make instrumental pop music, loosley inspired by IDM, new wave, synthpop, and anything else my little head absorbs. Jeskola Buzz is my weapon of choice, warts and all. I just haven\\\\\\\'t found a replacement for some of it\\\\\\\'s more obscure functions, so I\\\\\\\'m sticking with it in all of it\\\\\\\'s 10-year-old, obsolete hexadecimal interfaced glory. Sometimes I play live shows in Seattle (and hopefully elsewhere soon). I also occasionally release music for free online. I love each and every one of you like the precious little snowflakes you are.

Electronic Music other: Playing Another Show
Store Written January 08 2009
I'll be playing another show here in Seattle in late February. This one looks like it should be pretty fun: two rooms, one room featuring Restiform Bodies (Anticon), n1nth cloud, and Egadz; the other room will be me, Hjalti, xBen, and Travis Baron/M'Chateau.

As usual, I'll be working on mostly new music for this set. I usually start off with a couple of old songs, rework them to be performable live, then brainstorm some fragmentary new pieces in a similar style. I integrate all those bits into one long set, and add a lot of tweakability. By the time I'm done with the all the new composing, I usually have the beginnings of at least one or two new studio tracks, so I'm killing two birds by writing this way.

Anyways, I'm thinking I'll use two recent tracks as the basis for this set: "The Distant You" from the Perestroika split EP to kick it off, and Survivie to See tomorrow (only on my EMPage so far) to end the set. That means the set will end with cascades of brickwall limited, filtered feedback slowly drowning out everything else. I'm going to try to freak the sound guy out with that part! This set is going to be fast (160bpm-ish) and breakbeat-heavy. At least that's the intent going in. We'll see how it works out!

If you're in Seattle, come out to the show! I'll post more details whent he event gets closer.
