I'll have a review up soon, but wanted to know if anyone has tried it, i dont think ive seen it on this website, but i havent been on much lately.

Its a touch sensitive midi controller that is kinda like a Kaoss pad, but instead of being just XY it is XYZ, the Z is how much pressure you apply. you can make your own template covers for it too out of paper or rubber and use it as a drum pad. it looks like it has a few drawbacks (it only registers one touch at a time) but seems really good for the price.

uh, that looks nice.
is there anything like this for mac?

I use a wacom with a wacom-to-midi tool. just as good but cheaper

and doubles as an actual wacom tablet for art ;D

Q: It seems additional software is PC only. Any chance of Mac OSX apps?

Yes. Anticipated date for Mac versions is end of Q2 2006.

That thing reminds me of the Koala Pad for the C-64. I have no choice but to like it.

awesome

Aw, Koala Pad! That brings back memories...

i dont think the touchpad on my laptop is pressure sensitive, but are those tablets pressure sensitive?

the wacom intuos (higher end) has "1,024 levels of tip and eraser pressure sensitivity for control"
the graphire is half that.

i picked up my intuos (1, at the time) for 80 bucks

sounds fun, but not super practical....

Cool fatass, hope that worksout.
