This is great...thought i'd share with you guys (and girls)
link
The statements "The chip is a tiny computer program the size of a domino" and "In the future women will wear chips in their earrings to listen to Beethoven" made me chuckle.
Enjoy!

where is this studio, with a nice analog desk, synths, vocoders, all operated by woman, saying "try tube shot"

I wonder what Suzanne Ciani would do with a Kyma system today? Makes me wonder if she retired from sound design. Chicks with Buchlas who like pinball are definately my type.
I really liked the Williams Pinball microprocessor sound programs the best. Lots of cross-modulation and classic blip bloops. Great sample fodder.

Factoid : Many of the classic williams pinball-game sounds were taken from their games 'Robotron' and 'Defender'...both programmed by the legendary Eugene Jarvis.

that whole studio was ripped out, replaced with soft synths and DAWs in 2001, then re-done all vintage analogue again at nearly 50x the expense of the original studio in '08.
and chix still run it

Looks like she has retired, a quick look on IMDB shows the last film she was involved in was in 1996 (also..she's 62 years old now, so no surprise she's retired) link
cool...one of her tracks is on the soundtrack to the bob moog documentary from a few years back link

Well, there's your answer, I guess. link Looks like she did some orchestral stuff at some point, but it doesn't say if it was before or after the cancer.
I don't particularly care for most of her albums, as they're sappy and too boring for my tastes. But I was always impressed with her knowledge of electronic music and instruments.
