So iv'e decided to never ever listen to autechre whilst sleeping again.
It doesn't seem to matter if it's their old stuff or their newest stuff I allways have the most annoying nightmare-ish dreams. Last night I dreamt i had died and i was a ghost possesing my little brother occassionally to speak with my mom to try and convince her to dig up my body so that i could be alive again by re-possessing it. Other times autechre's music while sleeping has givin me a night of false awakening dreams. Man i Like their music but i think i'll just stick to listening to it during the day when im not sleeping.

read this wrongly as: "While I was sleeping, I decided to stop listening to Autechre."
That's a much stranger story than the one you actually told.
I used to fall asleep while listening to tape recorded movie soundtracks.

After military service, sleeping comes easy. Hey, at least I'm not sharing a room with a handful of other idiots...

I used to not be able to sleep with music on until i learned how to sleep sitting up in class without my head bobbing and still answer occaional questions.
I wish i had manageed to learn to sleep with my eyes open too that would have been awesome.

why not stop listening to autechre period? Well except for Incunubula of course! Would now be a good time to mention that i am putting all my autechre recordings except for Incunubula on ebay soon?
by the way if you want sleep music get selected ambient works two; just make sure you remove the creepy bell tracks and the not so ambient tracks with fast beats and screeches.

my partner doesn't like listening to music falling asleep, but when i was single i used to listen to the cbc show "brave new waves" every night, almost without fail.
now, on the rare occasions when i'm alone in bed i love falling asleep to music...
i'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but nearly 100% of the time the cd i listen to is beck's sea change...
i was once a fan of beck, but not really anymore, i haven't listened to a beck album in years (besides this one), i don't even think sea change is a great album, but for some reason that cd has dominated my sleepytime music...

i always, always listen to music when i go to sleep. i can't sleep without it. the problem is i keep getting up to change the playlist. also, what's with all the dream blogs these days? everyone get this (from earstroke): link
earstroke said: "Nate Zuckermans' dream project is a collaborative effort between he and several others who've shared and recorded their dreams. Nate manipulated the vocal recordings of the dreams, sometimes layering them in many colorful ways, added music and made them into songs. the album offers a variety of ever changing stories, perpetually engulfing the listener to extreme surreals and deep emotions, expressed both by the dreamers voices and Encephalas music. this is a truly original idea executed remarkably well. i can undestrand that: in their music there are monsters, i already experienced that and almost immediately stopped listening to them... it was right after confield was out.
on a funny note: Psyngo music made the same effect to me once... i was half-asleep on the bed while listening to one of his records and i had the strangest thoughts... when i woke up, i looked aoutside the window and someone had stolen my moped!! i never had the will to listen to psyngo's music again even tho i like it.
