Electronic Music other: Strategy Atari Videomusic set tomorrow
Store Written February 04 2009 , Tags: Atari Videomusi, Strategy, First Thurs
Hey Portland,
I'm going to be appearing at this First Thursday event called HEXASION that is an audiovisual performance during the artwalk hours at Someday Lounge. Set time is around 730 I think.

I'm still undecided what equipment I'll bring for the sound, but I've been tooling around on noises that are good for interacting with the Atari Videomusic, an arcane 1976-era device (from the design team that brought you the 2600)- a basic but pretty expressive consumer grade videosynthesizer and pretty rare artifact.

I was given one last year and have found that it makes a pretty cool live projection! Especially driven by rhythmic sound.

It'll be about a half hour set, if you're 'art walking' please drop by ! I'm pretty sure it's free.
