About me

I make instrumental pop music, loosley inspired by IDM, new wave, synthpop, and anything else my little head absorbs. Jeskola Buzz is my weapon of choice, warts and all. I just haven\\\\\\\'t found a replacement for some of it\\\\\\\'s more obscure functions, so I\\\\\\\'m sticking with it in all of it\\\\\\\'s 10-year-old, obsolete hexadecimal interfaced glory. Sometimes I play live shows in Seattle (and hopefully elsewhere soon). I also occasionally release music for free online. I love each and every one of you like the precious little snowflakes you are.

This is a busy week for me.
I've finished composing/structuring my live set for next Friday, and I'm now working on practicing it and refining my MIDI control setup for it. My sets are pretty linear, but with a lot of control options to keep it interesting. Maybe I'll actually get a chance to record it at the show. If not, I'll do a "live" recording of me playing it at home, so y'all can share in the joy of a Miniature Airlines live show. I'm using a lot of existing songs for this set, as opposed to composing from scratch. It goes a little something like this:
Untitled Intro
The Distant You
Sneakers & Socks
Our Hope is Limitless (rhodes alternate version)
Untitled Electro Hip Hop
Survive to See Tomorrow (long, loud ending version)
...looking at it in list form, I feel like I'm forgetting something. And maybe I need to add another part. Hmm.
It looks like I'm also gonna be on the radio tomorrow night, doing an interview as a promo for the show. I'm not 100% sure of the details yet, but I think I'll be on around 11:30 on Friday, on 91.3 here in Seattle. I don't know exactly how it's gonna go, but it'll probably be a little in studio chat and playing some tracks. We'll see...
This weekend, aside from Valentine's Day, I've gotta get some flyers up, do some Myspace spamming, and all the other fun promo stuff that has to be done to get bodies in the club. Luckily, it's someone else's show, so the main burden doesn't fall to me.

Yes! I will be on the radio tonight. Seattle locals, you can tune in to 91.3 KBCS at 11pm to hear me and Hjalti talking shit and playing tunes on the Variations show. There's an internet stream too, at KBCS.FM
