If you've never been to Japan and wondered what it's really like here, this wonderful short film goes a long way in really showing what an amazing place this country is. It's got a rare quality in that it resonates, obviously for me, because I live here, but also I think for people who have never been here before. I'm really tired of Japan being just a big collection of stereotypes on the internet, or portrayed in a ridiculous fashion in films such as "lost in translation".
"This Is Japan!" redresses the balance.

my friend made a similar, if slightly more disturbing video a few years ago same cut up vibe, same country link unknownforces should do: "this is romania" with the na na na na na na - na na na na na song underneath

I love travel. Very inspiring video <3. jdg said: "man, so japan is all stop motion, makes sense why they like anime so much" actually, full-motion has been on ration here since the bubble burst in the 90s. Most people only get about 3 frames a second. the number one thing i love about japan is how everyone will try to give others enough space to walk. The bit i hate was the old trenchcoat guy rubbing his crotch against me at the shrine.
 i don't know what i want more, to be in japan or that pentax.
