Nope, .........I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure democratic western Christian civilisation never offends anyone - particularly fanatics intent on killing us - airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile (or target)certain people. They must only conduct random searches of 80-year-oldwomen, people in wheelchairs, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the U.S.President's security detail, 85-year old World War II veterans with metal hips, and Boy Scout groups. They must never "target" a turban wearing 17 to 40 year old male who appears to have a suspicious package tied around his body. This would be unjustified discrimination!

Send this to as many people as you can so that the "do gooders," Greenies and other misguided fools, including some High Court Judges, who want to thwart common sense feel doubly ashamed of themselves. As Forest Gump (a product of decadent democratic western Christian civilisation) so aptly put it, "Stupid is as stupid does!"

i got this email in response to the previous -

Whilst I understand the point your friend is trying to make about slective
airport screening I feel he has completely oversimplified and misunderstood
the causes of 'muslim terrorism/ extremism'.

5 of the events he refers to were acts committed by Palestinian fighters in
response to the theft of their country and the ongoing (to this day)
subjugation of their people (the world's largest and long lasting refugee
population). The murder of the Israeli athletes was a horrible crime but it
was deemed necessary in order to draw world attention to the plight of the
Palestinians enduring similar crimes on a daily basis in the squalor of
camps and towns in Gaza and the West Bank.

The acts committed in Lebanon were in response to the illegal Israeli
invasion in 1982 and it's subsequent support by the US (the world's greatest
sponsor of terrorism). The US has ensured the survival of the state of
Israel by making it, and not the starving Third World, the world's largest
recipient of aid.

The Embassy bombing is seen to be a crime but it should be remembered that
those killed were soldiers. When Ariel Sharon directed a Lebanese Christian
militia to massacre the occupants of the Shatilla refugee camp, the victims
were civilians. BUT the embassy bombing is given equal weight in terms of
moral outrage because it was perpetrated by ''terrorists''.

So what then constitutes terrorism?

Is it the fact that the 'terrorists' don't wear uniforms or belong to a
recognised national state? they are Irregulars fighting asymetric warfare.
Would this make the French resistance against the Nazi's 'terrorists' -
ofcourse not because they were on ''our'' side. Just as the Right wing death
squads in El Salvador, Guatemala and Colombia are not 'terrorists' because
they are sponsored, trained (at the School of the America's in Florida) and
directed by the US. They are on 'our side'. Our side in the pursuit of
freedom and democracy. Unless ofcourse that freedom and democracy threatens
our 'freedom and democracy' such as the forty democratically elected
governments of South America which the US has subverted or overthrown over
the last 60 years because their proposed development models conflicted with
US economic interests in the region.

To return to the question of issue of 'muslim extremism' - this is perhaps
the one charge which has not been levelled at the Palestinians. Hamas and
Islamic Jihad do not seek the imposition of Sharia Law nor the conquest of
the 'Infidel' West. It should be remembered that we in Britain have always
had better relations with the Arab states than we have with Israel and that
we promised the Arabs sole control of Palestine of which WE were the
occupiers and governors. Unfortunately we also, in the more famous Balfour
Declaration, promised it to the Jews (in an attmept to curry favour with
American Jews in order to get the US to join WW1). Perfidious Albion?

British Soldiers occupied Palestine up and until 1947 and were regular
victims of terrorism in that time. Unfortunately for those who prefer their
good guys and bad guys to be clearly defined, the 'terrorists' were Jews.
Members of the Stern Gang and Irgun movement murdered tens of British
Soldiers and committed classic 'terrorist' acts such as the bombing of the
King David Hotel in 1946.

Q7 refers to the Locabie bombing which was committed by members of the
Libyan secret service. Not muslim extremists. Britain and the US had been
involved in an ongoing struggle with Libya for some years since 'we' said
that Ghadafi was a sponsor of Palestinian and Irish terrorism. It is true
that Libya provided arms to the PLO and the IRA - but as with have seen the
Palestinian/Israeli conflict does not lend itself to easy demarkations of
good guys and bad. Ireland meanwhile is perhaps the world's longest running
civil war - a result of British Imperialism and Protestant extremism.

It should be remembered also that the IRA has enjoyed moral and material
support (running to tens of millions of dollars) from US citizens since
1968. None of which our 'allies' in the White House have ever tried to stop.

Q2 refers to the Iranian Embassy takeover in 1979. This was as a result of
the United State's support (military, political and economic) of the Iranian
Shah - a corrupt, venal despot who employed one of the world's largest and
most brutal secret police forces. The Iranian (or Persian) people have never
in their long exquisitly cultured history been given to extremism of any
kind and yet such was the reality of life under the Shah that they threw
their lot in with the Ayotollahs.

The rest of the questions refer to terrorist acts committed by Al-Qaeda and
their affiliates. These would seem easier to label as Muslim extremists and
I would agree that they are perpetrated in the name of a perverted version
of Islam. But we should remember that these were the guys 'we' were more
than happy to arm and support when they were fighting the Soviets in
Afghanistan. 'We' knew what they believed in but 'we' didn't care because
they were fighting god-less Communism.

Bin Laden's orginal concern was the occupation of Palestine. His answer is
to overthrow those who would support that. 'Us'. Just as 'we' seek to
overthrow those leaders/states who do not do as 'we' wish.

I say 'we' because inspite of all the evidence available to dissuade us, the
majority of the population always tend to assume that in matters of foreign
affairs our government knows what is best for us. It is 'us' against the
rest of the world. 'They' whoever they may be (Argentinians, Irish, Arabs,
Muslims) are a threat to us and so we must stop them. What about the threat
'we' pose to other nations? Ah well that doesn't matter because 'we' can do
no wrong.

We can bomb/invade sovereign countries from Serbia to Iraq. Our security
forces can be implicated in the highest courts of the land in extra-judicial
killings. We can keep the developing world in debt which they cannot hope to
escape. And we can pollute and destroy the very planet on which we live
because the alternatives are 'too expensive'. Too expensive for who? The oil
industry and petrol car maker?

The reality is 'our' government, Labour or Tory, acts in it's own interests
and those of that small but immensly powerful section of society we call
'the rich'. In a Capitalist society it can only be ever thus.

The issue is Palestine and it has been since 1947.

David Ben Gurion (the first Israeli Prime Minister): "If I were an Arab
leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have
taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that
interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the
Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing:
we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?"

Who is the terrorist again?

the short answer is that everthing is more or a less a scam. there are webs and webs of entangled circumstances throughout history being mangled and twisted and tied off and stretched by various people at various times. many a grand mistake has been made and many a selfish, shortsighted, misguided decision made.

it's at very best a muddy haze that most people never even look at.

You cant really start pointing fingers at the US admin about this as it was written into their constitution that militias were allowed to bear arms to actually keep their governement in check, in case it turned into an overbearing fascist dictatorship [hint fucking hint...Annie get ya gun!].

That email: What that idiot proposes is being implanted into the UK publics consciousnous anyway because they are fucking retarded sheeple who will overreact and profile people themselves: link [another classic BBC News unattributed piece]

This shit happened in the 70's & 80's with anyone who had an irish accent was immediately viewed with suspicion as a possible IRA terrorist who might possibly be putting a bomb in a pub or under someones car. [now, think back to how certain people were 'fitted up' for the bombings of pubs in birmingham and guildford because they were irish and spent a considerable amount of time in prison as a result: link & link ]

It was similar to where I grew up as a kid: every male of afro-carribean origin was viewed by the media frightened white middle englanders as either a [potential] mugger, theif, rapist or drug dealer purely because of the colour of their skin and then after the Tottenham riots of 81 & 85 [I lived 4 miles from there], they were seen as police murdering, petrol bomb throwing, looting undesirables who should be 'given the option' of repatriation going back on the 'Windrush'.

It wouldnt surprise me if the guy who sent that email out has links to the BNP or one of its affliates 'Profiling' is one of their favoured techniques. of shitstirring

Stv: PON is available as a high quality download from archive dotOrg link

Someone should compile a list of all the terrorist acts the US/UK have commited. East Timor for example.
