About me
I'm an electronic music producer living in Portland, OR. I run Optic Echo Records, which started after the demise of Dick and Jane Records. I love field recordings, and live instruments interwoven in my music. I'm also the programming director of Portland Radio Authority, and my sets can be streamed live on the website (www.praradio.com) on Mondays, 6-8 PST. I spin a mix of downtempo, ambient, experimental, and IDM vinyl. I've got a new album entitiled "Leaving Baja", as well as a collaborative album called "Invisible Friend" which you can download at link, along with a bunch of my mixes. Hope you enjoy the music ...

I volunteer doing programming and operations for Portland Radio Authority. For the past 2 years, we've been planning a move to get out of the slum we're currently located in. For those of you who've been to our current location at 420 SW Washington on the 6th floor, you know what I'm talking about. Those #*%"&#$ recently sent me an eviction notice for noise complaints, giving us 30 days to leave. I could rant about this, but it's not worth the effort cause I'm so happy about the new location we found!
Our new studio will be a storefront window space on SE 8th and Main. This weekend we're going to be building out the new diggs to make a dj booth and soundproofing, and next weekend we're bringing all the gear there.
I'm soooo stoked we were able to work this out, but there's a hell of a lot of work ahead in the next 2 weeks to get all of this done
So here's what we could use from you all. We need money for building materials and because we're paying rent for 2 locations this month. We barely make it by with our djs paying $15 a month for their 2-hour slots. Please, if you can even shoot us $10, it would go a long way! Here's a link for donating ...

And also, for those of you living in Portland, OR and are interested in joining PRA, shoot me an email at programming AT NOSPAM praradio.org. I'll be busy, but I'm sure I can get more djs in with the available slots we have open currently. Training may have to wait a couple of weeks until we get the new place finished.
Thanks, and I'll post links to pictures of the new spot when we finish!!

I keep telling the police, you aren't a "radio authority" if all you do is play your radio really really loud.
just kidding, congrats on the new space!

so sore from the sound proof studio building this weekend. more work to do. We're hoping to move the gear in this weekend (the 14th and 15th) if we can finish the buildout this week!
