Electronic Music promo: Re-release on vinyl
Store Written April 02 2009
Some of you might already know that I spent my early twenties playing in hardcore screamo punk bands before that term got taken over by stupid spoiled kids with emily the strange t-shirts and shit like that. So one of the records we released together as Tristan Tzara on CD back then, is now available as a one sided picture disc 12" on a friends label. If you are familiar with bands like honeywell, makara, union of uranus or orchid check it out here:

the record is available here:

the second picture is the print on the record itself

A couple of months ago a Mexican label released a discography of my other hardcore band called kobra khan on tape. Combining two 7", one 10", a cassette release and some compilation and unreleased stuff. the sound is a little like the other band, but way rougher around the edges.
it feels great to have people out there still caring about stuff you did 10 years ago. and what can you say against tape.
Comments
fuckin' rad.
Can we have a photo of the band line up as well? ;-)
hardcore on tape... that's... well, hardcore!
i like the butt pic

Haha. i will find some.
please, and your passport pic as well! ;)
@ yghartsyrt

who was the photographer/artist that took the first photo? I remember the work from the late '70s/early '80s, but not the artist.
to be honest. i have no idea.
ok. there was a whole series. and, if i remember correctly, they appeared on john zorn cd covers during the 90s.
i think the artist was man ray. he did the cover for john zorn/naked city's "radio", and that photo (the first one, the cover of tristan tzara) was on the back cover, I believe.
how can you use man ray's work and not know he was responsible? ;)
yup. it was man ray. see first reference: link
it'S not me, who did the re-release. the label did everything by themselves, as the label is run by one guy playing in the band. he just asked, if he could do the re-release together with some other labels and we all agreed and just heard back, when everything was already finished.
yes, that is the naked city photo.

love those albums and the art they contained.

heretic is another one with similar BDSM themes.
