The other day I was in a museum of old Soviet electronic equipment used in the Soviet nuclear testing programme from the '40's to '70's. As a DIY analog synth guy, I was really inspired by the hardcore switchage and knobage.

I took a bunch of snaps in the hope of someday using this as a guide for the panels of my own synth designs. I hope that others are similarly inspired!

These were hand-made one at a time. Some instruments were so specialized that only a few were made. The craftsmanship is superb.
