Electronic Music other: Videos of My Father

I was lucky enough to grow up in a house full of my Dad's guitar playing. I didn't appreciate it as a kid. He used to do things like play two songs at once in two different keys and time signatures while chewing gum. I think that's the fingerstyle equivalent of jumping over school buses. Now, as an adult, I'm delighted to see his style of arranging and composition all over my own, and I'm continually impressed at his ability to think polyphonically. I didn't realize until I started playing guitar myself that my dad was a genius- not an exaggeration.
He's not much with the computers- but he does have a few videos of guitar work you might like. He recorded these videos shortly after getting a head injury, and he's seriously bummed out. You should cheer him up- and do yourself a favor by watching all his videos!
Wow, love that totally dissonant ending. Ha, I can hear his influence on you massively there. What a cool dad to have had.
he makes great arrangements, i wish i had his chops.
Yeah, he's one of those players who sees 2,3,4 parts all at once, and treats the guitar like a personal ensemble.
that ending is golden
damn wish i had a dad that wasn't a worthless pile...
my dad kills animals and grates on himself.
Simply amazing. Dissonant ending is the shit!

even as a kid, i was proud of my father, but kids dont want to look uncool.
you just sorta smile about it.
growing up affords the luxury of admiring openly.
congrats on a cool dad.
some of that genius was passed to the next generation, I imagine
...I have to go home and change my pants now.
Quite the talent! I can see him playing in Malcolm Arnold's Guitar Concerto or Rodrigo's Concierto De Aranjuez.
Does he mostly do arrangements or does he have his own compositions too?
He does a lot of composition- check the other videos for his original work. He's been piling them on lately. He'll be happy to see so many hits, thanks guys!
I've watched almost all of them now
i wonder if your dad cares about compliments from a know-nothing shit like me.
damn!! your dad is killing it!
