drum machines ive got (or can get my hands on):
2x sr16 2x hr16 (dr550) (rx5) xe8 Nice find. I love drum machines. I got a DR-660 and a MRT-3.
if i use the 2 sr16's, the 2 hr16's and the xe8 thatd fill all my 24 mixer channels and make a right bloody racket
bla said: "if i use the 2 sr16's, the 2 hr16's and the xe8 thatd fill all my 24 mixer channels and make a right bloody racket" You'd be the electronic Neil Peart. surely the electronic neil peart is P.E.A.R.T (midi controlled mechanical real drums)
ive now got 39u of rack modules but i want more!
i want an me35t- trigger to midi thing for feedback experiments (ive already got a roland pm16 but i want to try the akai one) in fact i want all those old akai midi units like the midi delay, the note seperator, the arpeggiator and... the rest i had a quick go of the xe8 yesterday (before i downloaded the manual (im amazed that the previous owner figured out how to use it based only on the really inadequate interface))
i managed to make some quite effective boring minimal techno using only 2 sounds P.E.A.R.T. > Percussive Electro-Acoustic Rhythm Taser
Looks like a very fun rack!
hold on, hold on!!
is that pence on the pound or pence on the dollar?? seems to me it should make a difference though i'm not sure why... DrexonField said: "Looks like a very fun rack!" HOOOOLLLDDD IT!!!! ok it was actual pounds rather than pence but i just used 'pence' cos it was next to nothing- i think he only wants a tenner for it
if i had said 'pure pence' thatd mean it was really quite expensive fun rack huh? well i think ive taken away most of the fun by reading the manual and discovering its not quite as crazy as how it was described to me but its still cool im glad i now own a rackmount drum module- i want a completely rackmounted live setup- id still have to put my mmt8 on top though (...unless... well ive had visions of an mmt8 housed in a 1u rack - im sure you could still fit all the buttons and display on the front) bla if you want to pay shipping i will mail you an rx8.
i believe in your talent dude. bla said: "ok it was actual pounds rather than pence but i just used 'pence' cos it was next to nothing- i think he only wants a tenner for it if i had said 'pure pence' thatd mean it was really quite expensive fun rack huh? well i think ive taken away most of the fun by reading the manual and discovering its not quite as crazy as how it was described to me but its still cool im glad i now own a rackmount drum module- i want a completely rackmounted live setup- id still have to put my mmt8 on top though (...unless... well ive had visions of an mmt8 housed in a 1u rack - im sure you could still fit all the buttons and display on the front)" i didn't expect a sort of spanish inquisition everamzah-i just wanted to add another post to this blog so that more people might look at it and think of drum machines
elronhubbard- at the moment i couldnt afford anything- last time i got something from usa i had to pay loads of import tax or something- but thanks anyway! Page 1 | 2
