Hi there, folks

So I have been doing a lot of video work lately, and in preparation for some upcoming shows me and the musicians, who are in Manchester and Lyon, have started to do what I'm calling "international rehearsal clusters"! I know it's a pretentious, even cumbersome name, but that's what it is!

Anyway, just uploaded a second one to my sites and thought I'd share.

It's a bunch of steps we all have to follow. After figuring out what everyone is going to play, we start off setting camera rules. Everyone shoots following these rules. In this case Scalde was forced to break one rule because his camera ran out of batteries during his last best take. So he sent me the audio from that take with the previous takes visual. They don't completely match in 3 places.

Anyway, I do the mixing and compositing using AfterEffects and Logic. One of the ground rules is no corrections, but I do a lot of audio and video sweetening. And in this case it was really really fun to mix. Autopilot sent me 4 tracks of audio, so I was able to do a lot more than I was with my Red States cluster video.
