--> So I moved recently and finally have my studio nearly set up. And since it's never going to be so organized ever again, I captured the zen-moment in these pictures.

I miss the studio pics section of the old EM411... post some yourselves.

What kind of mixer is that (the rack-mounted silver one)? Looks super cool.

Also, what are you using to prop up the SQ80? Is that just a home-made shelf?

omg i just noticed that you have a STYLOPHONE. where did you get it?

great studio!
i'm v jealous

wait a minute......where are all the cables??

Aaaarrgghhh... seeing nice studio pics like this always makes me so jealous. Good for you though.

awesome setup! you have some really cool shit in there. I can't wait to get a place and setup a room for music.

You're using a Korg X5 as a controller? Wah hah! That's my first synth ever! I actually created a nice ambient path with it by using both effects and a multi-mode version of a double-saw patch.

hoehater - it's a behringer dx1000 mixer. I think behringer is a pretty bad company but I own alot of their stuff because it's so damn cheap. It goes with the rest of the stuff in the studio, either used and outdated, or cheap low-quality gear. The SQ80 stand, yes, plywood.

dee sleep - stylophone from ebay, $29 with shipping and taxes.. There's tons on ebay. If you have the patience and money wait for the double stylus version to come up for auction.

skab - cables are behind and below the desk. I find it much easier to route cables there rather then in front and above the desk, but they, that's just my personal preference. I got about 300 (low quality) cables for about $30 on ebay, rca, 1/4 inch etc, my best purchase ever. Search for auctions listed as "lot".

Rogerroger - how the hell did you figure out that's my controller!? Yes, indeed, an easy and cheap option... from ebay...

brought to you by "ebay".

so, hey.. that looks great.

hows it sound?

why is it new? u move?
or u just move into a new room in the same house?

i just moved my studio too. still kinda messed up.. working on it.

hows canada? can you say? or do u not want to misrepresent an entire country."

why are you the funniest bastard ever?
i dunno, why?
or was that retorical?

that ebay link was dead, it looked like it was for a pump organ?

my moms has a pump organ sitting in a storage room for the last 10 years. it sat it our house from 80-96 before that. doesn't work, but crazy old. hundreds years old. that biatch is heavy.

Really? The link doesn't work for you? link

Better then a pump organ... 108 times better then a pump organ actually. An auction for 108 pump organs.

LOL

nice linkx

I once found two Hammonds in an abandoned repair shop... one of them had reversed black/white keys... even with my landlord helping me they were too heavy to lift and carry since we didn't have a vehicle. I got a nice old Watkins polka dot tube amp tho, had to just keep going trial and error with a bunch of tubes until it worked. And then it died a few months later. I still dream about those old Hammonds tho.

this studio looks heavenly.

man...you got so much cool shit...
