Earlier in the year I set up a dumping ground on Google Sites. Then I abandoned it after a couple weeks. This was when I was still feeling like I was in a "rut" but I wanted to learn the MPC and just post some crap. I only shared this with Scott/astroid and John/bagger288.
Then I read a post on Proswell's blog about his "10 second project" where he did a daily 10 second musical "sketch." I really liked this idea so I started doing it. And what do you know, I no longer feel like I'm in a rut. It's not exactly daily lately (though FAR more regular than it was) and I don't upload everything but this is the most up-to-date stuff now:
It's still just sketches but I've got some insight about the kinds of ideas and processes I'm interested in now, and what I've outgrown, and where I see music in the context of my life.
There's also some really old shit there. And probably some samples.
Enjoy. I'll post a proper release when I feel like I've completed something again. It's been a while but that doesn't bug me right now, I'm just enjoying myself
