i would but i am mentally retarded at this. i tried the url and i get a page that asks me to upload 'my website into the public_html directory'. any help? i know nothing about chat rooms.
Download an IRC client for your computer... mIRC or HydraIRC for Windows... iRC / Minerva for Mac, etc.
If you are a mac user, the Adium beta (mac port of pidgin basically) has IRC support too. link

WHAT HAPPENED TO ESPER.NET? is that why no-one's been there? I believe it was decided to make the move to makethemusic.org as it is a (fast) server geared specifically towards music related chat. I've not done a channel search, but I believe there are a number of labels and musicians who are on it.
there is still #em411 on esper.net, but no one seems to idle there anymore
incidentally i use leafchat as my irc client...its got a pretty small footprint so i got onto the chat thingy via adium but whenever i start to type in the window all i get is a search bar. it has been asking me for nick names so maybe that is the problem? i dunno, like i said i am a real neophyte when it comes to these things.
chatzilla for firefox is the easiest most convienient path to irc imo,
its an addon. you install it, then run it from the tools menu, once the window opens, type /server makethemusic.org then /join #em411 link web based irc, go there, it will load #bitkins, type /join #em411. there you go. if only scott would come back!
