i've seen these before, but they usually require some pretty expensive equip. nice to see something on the lower end. amazing.Their image recognition tech must be really advanced.
i think it's open source...at least i thought i saw the c source while looking at their page...
you could probably look at the code yourself and find out where the image recognition kicks in. Unfortunately my machine vision course stopped at convolution masks for edge detection. Offhand from the code it looks like it sets a threshold value to a capture and a region adjacency graph to compute the probability of a match to a fiduciary marker.
